The Urban Economic Development Association of Wisconsin (UEDA) was engaged to lead the implementation of the City of Milwaukee’s Consolidated Planning process throughout 2019 and early 2020.
UEDA is a 501(c)(3) membership association dedicated to facilitating effective, cross-sector collaboration, meaningful connections, and strengthening individual and organizational capacity in Wisconsin’s community and economic development sector. We focus on and advocate for community investment, homeownership and housing, financial empowerment, small business growth, regional transportation and the local food economy.
Our programs include Membership engagement, Bank On Greater Milwaukee, Take Root Milwaukee, and Capacity Building. UEDA has served as a certified contractor for the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development since 2001, providing technical assistance and capacity building to organizations. UEDA often serves as an intermediary convening stakeholders around specific issues such as small business support and eviction prevention, and events that focus on emerging topics in economic and community development.
